The editorial team welcomes research articles from scholars, researchers, and practitioners in the field of Christian education. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous <strong>double-blind review process</strong> conducted by qualified reviewers.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">This journal provides <strong>open access</strong> to all of its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Authors retain the copyright of their articles and grant the journal the right of first publication under <strong>the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA)</strong> license.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Peada'</em></strong> from the root word <em>ada'</em> means teaching or doctrine; <em>peada'</em> means advice or guidance. Advice is understood as a good teaching or lesson. The reason is that the concept of <em>peada'</em> boils down to character education, which is the core of parental education for children or the younger generation in general in the life of the Toraja people. Authentic evidence in Toraja society is <em>londe</em> (rhymes) in various types, including types of advice rhymes used in educating the younger generation in everyday life.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">In the context of Christianity, the Book of Proverbs is translated as <em>Sarambu Peada'</em>.<em> Sarambu Peada'</em> which is aimed especially at young people, teaches that true wisdom cannot be obtained outside of God. Wisdom helps to distinguish between good and evil, right and wrong, divine perspective or human perspective (cf. Proverbs 1:2-7). <em>Sarambu Peada'</em> contains things that are easy to do without a time limit. Either connotatively or denotatively, the meaning of <em>peada'</em> always leads to wisdom (<em>kakinaan</em>).</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Jesus, who is the Great Teacher, besides teaching knowledge to fill the hearts and minds of the disciples, also using his life as the fruit of His teaching to strengthen and firm the believers. Therefore, the true <em>peada'</em> is only found in Christ. This study aims to explore the strategic role of Christian Religious Education teachers in addressing phubbing among Christian adolescents through value-based pedagogical strategies that integrate theological and pedagogical dimensions. This study employs a qualitative method based on thematic analysis, with data drawn entirely from literature sources analyzed systematically through six thematic analysis steps. The novelty of this study lies in an integrative framework that connects the role of Christian Religious Education teachers as moral guides, spiritual role models, and contextual learning facilitators with value-based pedagogical strategies for addressing phubbing. The findings indicate that Christian Religious Education teachers play a strategic role in shaping adolescents' digital awareness through respect for others grounded in the imago Dei principle, time management through the digital sabbath concept, and interactive case-based discussion that guides adolescents to use technology wisely in accordance with Christian values.</em><strong><em> </em></strong></p> <p><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Fenomena <em>phubbing</em> semakin marak di kalangan remaja Kristen dan berdampak negatif terhadap kualitas relasi sosial dan spiritual yang menjadi inti nilai-nilai kekristenan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi peran strategis guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam mengatasi perilaku <em>phubbing</em> pada remaja Kristen melalui strategi pedagogis berbasis nilai yang mengintegrasikan dimensi teologis dan pedagogis. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif berbasis analisis tematik dengan sumber data sepenuhnya berasal dari kajian literatur yang dianalisis secara sistematis melalui enam langkah analisis tematik. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada kerangka integratif yang menghubungkan peran guru PAK sebagai pembimbing moral, teladan spiritual, dan fasilitator pembelajaran kontekstual dengan strategi pedagogis berbasis nilai dalam mengatasi <em>phubbing</em>. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAK berperan strategis dalam membentuk kesadaran digital remaja Kristen melalui penghormatan terhadap sesama berbasis prinsip <em>imago Dei</em>, pengelolaan waktu melalui konsep digital <em>sabbath</em>, serta diskusi interaktif berbasis studi kasus yang membimbing remaja memanfaatkan teknologi secara bijaksana sesuai nilai-nilai kekristenan.</p> 2026-06-08T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Semy Djulandy Balukh, Rezeki Putra Gulo
